Start at 10 am mid week.
(Not Monday or 9am, they're too busy)
Act like a courier that's delivering a letter.
Smile - "Good morning, I have a business nearby, thank you, have a good day."
Place it to the side (not in front of them, that's pushy).
Exit. Don't engage, it's stressful.
Get in, get out. You're a courier
Record the time you were there for follow up
Phone 2 days later, trust is built over time.
Say "Hi, I dropped off my blue business flyer 2 days ago. I'm just calling to see if you had any questions?"
Call in 1 week
ADVANCED - Take someone with you. They'll wait outside for moral support.
Get a friend or hire an actor to dress-up as a character (that reflects your brand).
